It has been acknowledged that on the Agenda of the Westminster City Council Meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, the Republic of Vietnam Day Resolution suggested by the Steering Committee for Republic of Vietnam Day Resolution will be discussed and voted.

The meeting will start at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2105.

The Steering Committee for Republic of Vietnam Day Resolution officially informs and invites:

Religious leaders, Vietnamese political parties or movements leaders, former Vietnamese elected officials of the Republic of Vietnam, former high ranking officers of the Republic of Vietnam Arm Forces, Former Vietnamese Soldiers of the Republic of Vietnam, US Vietnam War Veterans, Vietnamese Friendship Associations, Vietnamese American civil social groups and cultural and artistic organizations, Vietnamese Youth Organizations including Religious Youth Groups, Opinion Vietnamese Students Association, as well as Boy and Girl, Scouts, Vietnamese American Media, Vietnamese Intellectuals, Vietnamese American Community Organizations, Vietnamese Refugees and all Vietnamese community members … to show up and participate in the above meeting, to speak out and show your strong support for the decision of the City Council of Westminster in the Oral Communication section and request them to pass the Resolution of the Republic of Vietnam Day in order to recognize the sacrifices of the Citizens, Elected and Governmental Officials and Armed Forces of the Republic of Vietnam (AFORVN) and give them the honor and respect that they deserve, especially now that nearly two million Americans who are the offspring of these same heroes as well as the sacrifices of million of families of the US soldiers and Allied Armies who served in the Vietnam War.

Steering Committee for Republic of Vietnam Day Resolution solemnly informs and requests your present at this meeting to show our unity and strong support for this honorable action.

Ủy Ban Vận Động Nghị Quyết Ngày Việt Nam Cộng Hòa xin trân trọng thông báo:

Trong Nghị Trình Họp ngày Thứ Tư, 14 tháng 1, năm 2015, Hội Đồng Thành Phố Westminster sẽ thảo luận và biểu quyết thông qua Nghị Quyết Ngày Việt Nam Cộng Hòa do Uỷ Ban đệ nạp đề nghị vào giữa tháng 9 năm 2014.

Buổi họp sẽ chính thức bắt đầu vào lúc 7:0 chiều, ngày Thứ Tư, Jan 14, 2015.

Ủy Ban Vận Động Nghị Quyết Ngày Việt Nam Cộng Hòa xin trân trọng kính mời:

Qúi vị lãnh đạo tinh thần các tôn giáo, quí vị lãnh đạo các tổ chức đảng phái chính trị đấu tranh quốc gia, quí vị dân cử Việt Nam Cộng Hoà, quí vị sĩ quan niên trưởng các quân binh chủng của Quân Lực VNCH, qúi vị lãnh đạo các Hội Ái Hữu/Đồng Hương, các tổ chức xã hội dân sự-văn hóa- văn nghệ, văn bút, các tổ chức đoàn thể trẻ sinh hoạt trong các lãnh vực sinh viên học sinh, tôn giáo, hướng đạo, quí vị phóng viên/nhà báo trong giới truyền thông Việt ngữ, qúi vị thân hào nhân sĩ, các tổ chức cộng đồng, cùng toàn thể đồng hương đồng bào trong mọi giới… đến tham dự buổi họp trên của Hội Đồng Thành Phố, ghi tên phát biểu trong phần Oral Communication, biểu tỏ sự đồng tình và yêu cầu Hội Đồng Thành Phố thông qua Nghị Quyết Ngày Việt Nam Cộng Hòa do Ủy Ban đề nghị nhằm mục đích ghi nhận những sự đóng góp và hy sinh to lớn của Quân Dân Cán Chính Việt Nam Cộng Hòa đồng thời vinh danh chính nghiã bảo vệ tự do, tính mạng tài sản của nhân dân và thể chế dân chủ nhân bản của Việt Nam Cộng Hòa trong cuộc chiến Việt Nam.

Nghị Quyết này cũng sẽ công nhận và vinh danh sự hi sinh và đóng góp to lớn hàng triệu quân nhân Hoa Kỳ, quân đội Đồng Minh, các cựu chiến binh và gia đình của họ trong cuộc chiến Việt Nam mà đã bị lãng quên.

Đây là một việc làm đầy ý nghiã của Thành Phố Westminster. Uỷ Ban rất mong toàn thể thành viên trong cộng đồng người Việt quốc gia, cộng đồng người Việt tị nạn tại Nam California sẽ có mặt đông đủ để chứng tỏ sự ủng hộ mạnh mẽ của mình đối với Hội Đồng Thành Phố Westminster.
